Job Description
The Account Executive’s principal role is to execute direct sales within an assigned geographic area for purpose of new client acquisition. The AE must develop sales strategies to successfully meet and exceed sales targets and build a profitable book of business. The AE’s targets could potentially include a specific geographic area of focus or specific verticals of focus. Achieving results will include finding potential clients, qualifying potential opportunities, engaging technical support personnel to evaluate technical components of the proposal and make recommendations, compiling and presenting the proposal to potential clients, securing business and handing clients off to internal teams for implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on business development by prospecting through a variety of methods including cold-calling, and developing strategic alliances, effectively utilizing networking groups and community involvement
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline of prospects within ideal target demographic of 20-300 employees
  • Maintain documentation of potential opportunities and client contacts in CRM system
  • Understand and communicate benefits of company and product/service offering to potential clients and partners
  • Develop presentations/proposals to communicate new business opportunities
  • Secure business from potential clients
  • Act as the liaison between the client, Sales, Operations and other internal groups throughout initial sales process
  • Attend networking functions and trade shows on behalf of Advanced Network Solutions
  • Understand the basic elements of network IT, engaging additional levels of technical support for network analysis
  • Working toward a monthly/annual sales quota with a drive for success

Requirements/Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior technical sales experience
  • Proven track record of success in a hunting sales environment
  • Technical aptitude to understand the basics of networking and IT
  • Self-driven and highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • A strong work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills and use of the internet for research
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Technology Experience
Knowledge of high level network/IT components preferred
